DEBAT #4_part 2
Presentation of 'The Legend of the Artist'
and video screening of TV Documentation 'Cafe Carina' (by Klaus Totzler, ORF)
by Wolfgang Schneider and Beatrix Zobl, Vienna/Austria

Wednesday, 24 November 2004

door opens: 19:00 hours
debat starts: 20:00 hours

location: ZiM Cultureel, Zwaanshals 295/ Oude Noorden Rotterdam

The project 'The Legend of the artist' analyzes images of the artist and the way they are changing through the development
of new fields of artistic work. In the process-oriented project Zobl/Schneider use artistic and scientific means and methods.
[„dialogue interventions”, conversations, interviews, collections of material, performances, videos, installations and texts.]
'The Legend of the Artist' wants to intervene in definition processes as well as enabling artists to reflect about their own role
in society. The TV Documentation 'Cafe Carina' will be shown to demonstrate consequences of this strategy, working
“as artists” in the social sphere.
